Oh my. Oh my. Oh my! I have been distracted from writing for various reasons for about three months! If you are an author or have a creative side, you will know how utterly frustrating it is to not be able to get back into the mindset of writing (or doing your creative thang)
I have been doing renovations on the house along with hubby. We basically had to take half of the house back to the bare walls to renovate the kitchen, along with the roof down, electrics, plumbing…the lot really, and it has made hubby’s back issues 1000% worse. He has been unable to walk for a few weeks now and isn’t getting anywhere with waiting for an op because …well…covid…and the NHS… I’m not blaming the NHS. I work in it and know how busy it is right now and how hideously busy it is in every health care system at the moment. But his issues affect the time I have for writing. It usually takes me an hour or so to get totally back into a story which is why Broken Alpha is slow going and maybe a bit longer than I was planning for.Â
I’m also finding it hard to get back into writing after being so distracted with home life and my dad having a stroke too. Anyhoo, enough doom and gloom. I am feeling excited and ready to rock with Rawson and Ava!
When I’ve finished this post, I am going to sit down and reread my rough draft of their story so far and see if it gets me back into the storyline. I’m hoping it will. I guess I just have to give my mind time to concentrate once again on the Shadow Sentinels world and let my imagination take over!
Wish me luck, and let me know if you have any tips or tricks for getting back into writing again.
